Used Voightlander 28mm f/2.8 Color-Skopar Lens for Leica M
The Voigtlander Color-Skopar 28mm f/2.8 Aspherical (Type I) is a compact wide-angle prime lens for Leica M-mount rangefinder and mirrorless cameras, offering the same optical performance as Voigtlander's Ultron 28mm f/2 Aspherical while trading one stop of speed for greater portability. The Type I version carries a nostalgic, vintage-inspired design with a rotating helicoid focusing system, a focus tab for quick tactile adjustments, and an infinity lock, giving it handling that closely echoes classic Leica rangefinder lenses. Voigtlander markets this as one of its smallest and lightest 28mm options, even smaller than Leica's own 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit.
The optical formula consists of 8 elements in 5 groups, including a double-sided aspherical element for aberration control. A 10-blade diaphragm with half-stop click detents from f/2.8 to f/22 provides smooth, precise aperture control, and the brass exterior gives the lens the classic heft and durability associated with earlier-generation rangefinder optics. The lens reaches a 0.7m minimum focus distance and includes a metal screw-in lens hood and matching metal front cap. As an M-mount lens, it is compatible with digital and film Leica M bodies natively, or with mirrorless systems via a Voigtlander M-mount adapter.
