Used Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F
The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is a standard zoom lens for Nikon F-mount DSLRs, covering a wide-angle to portrait range at a constant f/2.8 aperture. It’s designed for full-frame (FX) bodies and also works on DX bodies, where it gives a 36-105mm equivalent field of view, which makes it a flexible choice for landscapes, portraits, events, and weddings.
The optical design uses 17 elements in 12 groups, including two XR, three LD, three glass-molded aspherical, and one hybrid aspherical element, with eBAND and BBAR coatings to reduce ghosting and flare in backlit scenes. A ring-type USD autofocus motor with dual MPU control focuses quickly and quietly, and Vibration Compensation rated up to 5 stops (CIPA) helps keep handheld shots sharp in low light. Moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine coating on the front element add protection, the diaphragm has 9 rounded blades, and the lens is compatible with Tamron’s TAP-in Console. It uses an electromagnetic diaphragm, so it needs a Nikon DSLR that supports E-type lenses.
