Used Blazar Mantis 35mm T2 Lens PL-Mount

The Blazar Mantis 35mm T2.0 is a 1.33x full-frame anamorphic cine prime from Blazar's Mantis series, introduced at NAB 2025. At 35mm on a full-frame sensor with a 1.33x horizontal squeeze applied, it produces a 2.39:1 cinematic aspect ratio after desqueeze, delivering the widescreen look of a 2x anamorphic system at a more practical squeeze factor suited to modern 16:9 and 17:9 sensors. It is one of the more accessible entry points into full-frame anamorphic production, compatible with the Alexa, RED, Sony FX, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, and other PL-capable platforms. The native PL mount is interchangeable with separately available adapters for Sony E, Canon EF, Canon RF, Leica L, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z.

The optical design features a 14-bladed oval iris that maintains the oval bokeh character typical of a higher-squeeze anamorphic lens throughout the aperture range. The lens produces an amber-tinted horizontal flare characteristic, tuned to fall between neutral and warm rather than fully saturated blue or gold. Focus rotation spans 180 degrees with markings in both feet and meters, and the 0.8 MOD geared focus and iris rings share a consistent position and 80mm front diameter across the Mantis series, allowing shared follow focus and matte box use across focal lengths without repositioning. This is a used example in the Precision Camera inventory for ARRI PL mount.
