Used Asahi Auto-Takumar 35mm f/2.3 Lens
The Asahi Auto-Takumar 35mm f/2.3 is a manual focus wide-angle prime lens built for the M42 screw mount, part of the second generation of lenses Asahi Optical Co. designed for its early Pentax K-series 35mm SLR cameras. Introduced in 1959, it had a relatively short production run before being replaced by the later Super-Takumar lineup, making it a less common find among vintage Takumar glass.
The lens uses a robust, all-metal construction typical of late-1950s Japanese engineering, with an aperture ring and depth-of-field scale finished in chrome. Optically, it's built from 6 elements in 5 groups with single-layer anti-reflection coating, and a 10-blade aperture contributes to smooth, rounded out-of-focus rendering. Focus and aperture are controlled entirely manually.
