Used 7Artisans 15mm f/4 Lens for Leica L
The 7artisans 15mm f/4 is a manual focus ultra-wide angle prime lens built for full-frame Leica L-mount cameras, also compatible with APS-C bodies at a 22.5mm equivalent focal length. Its 114° angle of view makes it well suited to landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, interiors, and astrophotography.
The optical design uses 13 elements in 9 groups, including 2 aspherical, 3 low dispersion, and 5 high refractive index elements, aimed at controlling chromatic aberration and distortion across the frame. A 10-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth out-of-focus rendering, and the lens has clearly marked focus distance and depth of field scales for manual focusing. It focuses as close as 16 inches, and the all-metal construction includes a removable lens hood.
