Adobe Lightroom Classic for Beginners
Michael Pliskin (Austin)
Karli Harris (The Woodlands)
This class will jump start your image editing pipeline using Adobe Lightroom Classic CC. We will discuss the basics of workflow (something every photographer needs just a little of), and then jump into basic editing in Lightroom Classic CC including white balance, exposure, levels, and curves.
Audience
This class is perfect for anyone that loves to take photographs from beginner to longtime photographer. Adobe Lightroom is great at helping you organize your digital images so you can find them, share and enjoy them. There are many advantages to Adobe Lightroom over Photoshop. If you want to learn photo software I would suggest starting with Adobe Lightroom.
About the Instructors
Michael Pliskin
Michael Pliskin is an award-winning professional photographer, designer and writer. He was an early digital imaging enthusiast, having been a staff technical advisor at Nikon, Inc. at the beginning of the digital photography era. His photography appears in books, magazines and corporate annual reports in the United States and Europe, and on the covers and inserts of live performance DVDs and music CDs for major artists such as Willie Nelson, Chicago, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
In addition to his photography, Michael was an early Beta tester on the original version of Lightroom and was on Adobe’s Beta testing team for Lightroom 4. He wrote a book on Adobe Lightroom and teaches Digital Imaging, Photoshop, and Lightroom at photography schools and other institutes of higher education, where he introduces digital photographers like yourself to the wonders of RAW photography.
Karli Harris
Karli discovered photography after taking a basic digital photography course and quickly fell in love with the medium’s blend of technical precision and artistic expression. Drawing on years of experience as a studio artist specializing in oil painting, I bring a strong foundation in composition, lighting, and visual storytelling to my work in portrait, fine art, and still life photography. Over the past three years, I have refined both my photographic process and post-production workflow, with extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite tools including Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and Adobe Bridge to edit, retouch, and manage images efficiently and creatively.
