For Those Who Look Closer
The Leica APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8 is a telephoto macro prime for the Leica SL-System, combining a 1:1 reproduction ratio and 30cm minimum focus distance with the reach and subject separation of a 100mm focal length. Built around 17 elements in 12 groups with apochromatic correction, it minimizes chromatic aberrations across the entire focus range for sharp contrast edges and accurate color reproduction from close range to infinity. The robust black anodized aluminum full-metal body is dust and splash water protected, and the metal lens hood is included in the scope of supply.
APO-Macro-Elmarit
With a reproduction ratio of 1:1, the APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8 captures fine patterns and surfaces with complete sharpness and minute detail. At portrait distances, the 100mm focal length produces harmonious bokeh and clear subject separation, making it equally effective for expressive portraiture as it is for detailed close-up work.
SL-System Lens Design
The APO-Macro-Elmarit-SL 100mm f/2.8 features a focus limiter that can be set to the full range, close focus only (0.29m to 0.5m), or mid-to-infinity (0.5m to infinity) for fast, precise focusing in any shooting situation. The lens communicates directly with the camera via the Leica L bayonet contact strip, with lens firmware updatable via the camera.
