The Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 65mm f/1.4 is a fast, manual-focus prime built specifically for the Fujifilm G mount, making it an accessible entry point into medium format glass for portrait, street, and available-light photographers. Offering a 50mm full-frame equivalent field of view, it fills a practical role as a normal lens for the GFX system while standing out as one of the fastest options available for the platform. The optical formula comprises 11 elements in 9 groups, including two High Refractive Index (HRI) and two Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) elements to manage chromatic aberration across the aperture range. The f/1.4 maximum aperture produces a characteristically shallow depth of field and expressive rendering wide open, with improved sharpness and tighter depth of field control as the lens is stopped down.
